Compliance Manager

We are excited to be working with a top 200 UK law firm to recruit a Compliance Manager to join their team in Essex. This is a really exciting opportunity to join the firm in a new position, created in response to substantial growth, and play a key role in enhancing and supporting the firm’s compliance function.

To apply for this role, you will need to have experience working in law firm risk and compliance, and knowledge of the SRA Code of Conduct, AML regulations, and audit.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Answering risk and compliance queries, including SRA, GDPR, data breaches, SARs, etc
• Maintaining the firm’s Lexcel accreditation
• Maintaining the risk and compliance systems and ensuring best practice use
• Providing training and refreshers to the team
• Updating and maintaining the firm’s policies
• Horizon scanning for regulatory and legislative updates
• Improving working practices
