We have a fantastic opportunity with a leading international US law firm who are looking for an experienced Compliance Lawyer to join their London office. In this role, you will report to the Senior Compliance Council and advise on a broad range of compliance and regulatory issues relevant to legal practice.The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer with regulatory experience working at either a large or international firm. Knowledge of SRA Regulations and standards is a must, in addition to the Bribery Act, Market Abuse regulations and Criminal Finances Act.

In this role, you will report to the Senior Compliance Council and advise on a broad range of compliance and regulatory issues relevant to legal practice.The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer with regulatory experience working at either a large or international firm. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Working closely with London attorneys and partners to advise on conflicts of interest and confidentiality.
- Assisting with risk and compliance policy and procedure updates/reviews.
- Working with the NewYork office to review and negotiate client and third-party terms. This may include responding to requests regarding questionnaires and engagement letter queries.
- Supporting HR with secondment agreements, screening compliance policies and clearing conflicts.
- Conducting risk and compliance training for new joiners and existing employees.
- Acting as the point of contact for assisting with a range of compliance-related queries such as NDAs and practising rights issues.
- Managing projects to implement any changes to processes and procedures.
- Overseeing the client onboarding process, working with the MLRO
