About the Role
We are working with a prestigious global law firm to hire an AML & Conflicts Analyst in London. In this role, you will be a key guardian of the firm’s integrity, assisting partners and legal professionals with the critical process of new business acceptance in accordance with international regulatory standards.
The firm is looking for an analytical and detail-oriented professional with a solid understanding of risk management and the commercial awareness to navigate complex legal environments. They are looking for candidates with exceptional communication skills and a meticulous approach to data and documentation. You should be a collaborative team player who can manage a diverse workload while maintaining a high level of service for internal stakeholders.
This role offers hybrid working with 2 days per week in the office.
The responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive conflict of interest searches to identify potential legal or commercial issues.
- Analysing new client and matter requests to determine risk profiles and ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Managing the full suite of anti-money laundering processes, including researching corporate structures and identifying ultimate beneficial owners.
- Performing sanctions checks and identifying Politically Exposed Persons to ensure global compliance.
- Liaising directly with partners and senior stakeholders to resolve conflict queries and provide expert recommendations.
- Implementing and monitoring information barriers to safeguard sensitive client confidentiality.
- Mentoring junior team members and providing support on the internal helpdesk to resolve urgent business acceptance queries.
- Maintaining precise records of all research and risk assessments within the firm’s compliance software for auditing purposes.
