About the Role
We are working with a Top 100 UK law firm to recruit a Compliance Manager to join their growing team.
In this role, you’ll act as an escalation point for complex and high-risk compliance issues, supporting the Senior Risk and Best Practice Lawyer and Director of Risk in promoting a strong, positive culture of compliance across the firm. You’ll manage a broad portfolio of projects, provide expert advice to partners and staff, and play a key part in embedding best practice across all divisions.
The firm is looking for candidates with extensive experience in risk and compliance within a law firm, and advanced knowledge of the laws, regulations, and professional standards that govern legal practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising on complex risk, regulatory, ethical, and data protection matters
- Leading risk and compliance projects and identifying opportunities to improve processes
- Producing and analysing risk data to enhance firmwide performance
- Supporting updates to key firm documents, policies, and engagement materials
- Creating and delivering tailored compliance training across divisions
- Monitoring regulatory developments and advising on their impact
- Coaching junior team members and contributing to a culture of collaboration and learning
The ideal candidates will have strong communication and report-writing skills, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive, analytical mindset. Experience managing or mentoring others and a background as a qualified solicitor would be advantageous but not essential.
