About the Role
We’re working with a world-leading global law firm to appoint a Senior Financial Crime Adviser. Based in London, you’ll provide financial crime and sanctions advice across the UK, US and EMEA, helping the firm navigate regulatory change, manage risk and strengthen its policies and controls.

- Acting as an escalation point for sanctions matters, unusual activity reports and complex referrals; analysing the application of UK, US, EU and Australian sanctions regimes.
- Supporting strategic initiatives and regulatory reforms, and developing and implementing AML/CTF policies, controls and procedures.
- Coordinating stakeholder consultation and ensuring policies are refreshed in response to regulatory change.
- Identifying and assessing sanctions incidents and other financial crime risks, coordinating mitigation and remediation, and supporting investigations and post-incident reviews.
- Conducting risk assessments and gap analyses, and developing plans and controls to address identified issues.
- Maintaining audit-ready records of decisions, approvals, overrides, incidents and remediation.
- Supporting regulatory enquiries, audits and surveys by preparing evidence and briefing materials.
