About the Role
We are working with a leading UK professional services firm to hire an Internal Auditor in London. This role sits within the Compliance function and will play a key part in ensuring the firm’s adherence to the new obligations introduced by the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023.
In this role, you’ll conduct a firmwide risk assessment to evaluate internal controls, identify areas of potential risk, and design or enhance processes to ensure robust compliance and effective risk management. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and the Forensic team to deliver practical, high-quality insights that strengthen governance and operational integrity.
The responsibilities will include:
• Conducting an enterprise-wide audit and risk assessment covering financial and operational processes
• Assessing supplier due diligence, payment authorisations, staff and partner expenses, and other financial controls
• Preparing clear reports and recommendations for mitigating risk and improving internal processes
• Engaging with partners and senior management to ensure findings are understood and implemented
• Supporting the development of risk management frameworks aligned with the firm’s regulatory obligations
The firm is looking for an experienced auditor with strong financial risk assessment skills and a solid understanding of internal controls and compliance frameworks. You’ll need excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and the confidence to engage effectively with senior stakeholders across the business. An ACA or ACCA qualification is preferred.
