About the Role
We are working with a leading UK law firm to hire a Junior Conflicts Advisor to join their team in Manchester. In this role, you’ll support the firm’s client and matter take-on processes, providing essential analysis and advice on conflicts of interest, confidentiality, and related risk issues. You’ll play a key part in helping the firm manage compliance obligations while supporting lawyers to take on work confidently and responsibly.
The firm is looking for a graduate with at least one year’s experience in a law firm compliance function, ideally with exposure to conflicts analysis and client onboarding. Experience using Intapp or similar systems would be advantageous.
The responsibilities will include:
• Reviewing conflict search results and identifying potential legal or commercial conflicts of interest
• Supporting lawyers and partners with conflict queries and providing practical advice
• Checking new instructions to ensure compliance with professional rules, regulations and firm policies
• Assisting with the implementation of information barriers and obtaining informed consent where required
• Escalating complex conflicts queries to senior members of the Risk team as appropriate
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, great attention to detail, and excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. You’ll be proactive, commercially aware, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a busy and collaborative environment.
