Junior Risk & Compliance Officer

We’re working with a well-established regional law firm to hire a Junior Risk and Compliance Officer for their South London office.

In this role, you’ll provide vital administrative and professional support to the Risk and Compliance team, helping to maintain the firm’s policies, procedures and accreditations while assisting with a wide range of compliance tasks. You’ll handle day-to-day queries, support onboarding checks, help monitor adherence to AML procedures, assist with audits, maintain registers and contribute to wider risk management projects. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their compliance career who wants to develop broad experience in a busy, supportive team.

The firm is looking for someone with previous experience in risk and compliance, strong IT skills and a good understanding of the regulatory framework within a law firm.

The responsibilities will include:
• Responding to compliance queries, including onboarding, source of funds and GDPR questions
• Assisting with policy updates, accreditation maintenance and audit preparation
• Supporting AML and onboarding monitoring through file audits and electronic checks
• Managing central registers and helping administer file reviews and training processes
• Liaising with insurers and panel solicitors on claims, and assisting with complaints handling
• Supporting projects, preparing reports and keeping up to date with regulatory developments
