Senior Risk Analyst

We are working with a leading UK law firm to appoint a Senior Risk Analyst. This is a hands-on opportunity to supervise risk and compliance queries, support regulatory compliance, and help maintain the firm’s quality and information security management systems across its offices.

The firm is looking for an experienced compliance professional from a law firm, with strong knowledge of SRA requirements, anti-money laundering regulations and GDPR. You will bring sound judgement, excellent communication and organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities and support junior colleagues.

The responsibilities will include:

• Supervising and organising the Risk team, ensuring queries are handled efficiently and records are maintained accurately.

• Providing guidance on complex compliance matters, including conflicts, anti-money laundering, client due diligence, professional conduct, SRA compliance and data protection.

• Managing key processes such as information barriers, bogus firm checks, personal email declarations, data subject access requests and declarations of personal interests.

• Interpreting regulations and policies to make informed, risk-based decisions, escalating complex issues where appropriate.

• Monitoring regulatory developments and supporting updates to internal policies, procedures and firm-wide communications.

• Building strong relationships across the firm to promote a positive compliance culture and effective risk management.

• Delivering training to new joiners and colleagues, while monitoring outstanding training requirements.

• Supporting quality and information security management systems, including policy reviews, audits and external audit preparation.

• Preparing compliance reports and committee papers, attending relevant meetings and presenting key issues.

• Contributing to wider compliance projects and supporting the annual insurance renewal process.
