Conflicts Analyst

A prestigious global law firm is looking for a Conflicts Specialist to join their team, based in Washington. This opportunity is perfect for someone with a mindset built for finding solutions to complex challenges.

The ideal candidate is someone with 2+ years of experience working within a law firm in a legal risk or compliance role. During this time, they will have performed conflicts research and searches confidently, whilst gaining extensive experience working within the Intapp Open platform. This person pays strong attention to detail when performing legal research and has an innate ability to communicate with teammates and stakeholders, both in a written and verbal capacity. 

Some key responsibilities:

• Aid the firm’s general counsel and attorneys in the resolution of conflicts of interest for all business initiatives
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of ethical screens using Intapp Wallbuilder, alongside the Senior Manager of Conflicts and Associate General Counsel
• Coordinate with Legal Department Analysts to certify that department objectives are met
• Collaborate with case teams to analyse new business intake requests and ensure amendments are made via working with requestors to maximise an accurate conflicts footprint
• Research complex litigation cases using a magnitude of resources (S&P Global corporate database, Intapp Conflicts database, Dow Jones Risk & Compliance global watchlist) to identify potential areas of risk within the firm
• Analyse factual conflicts results and case-related information to determine the relatedness of matters and produce reports for the reviewal of attorneys 
• Perform exploratory conflicts searches and ad-hoc checks as instructed by senior members of the Legal Department.
