About the Role
We’re seeking a Compliance Officer to join a forward-thinking Law Firm in Derbyshire.
In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind regulatory compliance, ensuring everything runs smoothly in line with SRA, GDPR and AML requirements. You'll be working closely with key stakeholders, staying ahead of regulatory changes, and creating a culture where compliance is second nature.
The ideal candidate is someone with solid experience in compliance, well-versed in handling policies, risk management, and external audits. If you’ve got a keen eye for detail, a proactive mindset, and the ability to communicate with confidence, this could be the perfect fit.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Keeping policies up to date and ensuring firm-wide compliance
- Monitoring breaches and maintaining registers
- Driving risk management initiatives, from client feedback to conflict reviews
- Managing external audits and Lexcel re-accreditation
- Training staff and providing compliance guidance across the firm
We’re looking for someone who thrives under pressure, can work autonomously yet collaboratively, and has an innate ability to engage with people at all levels.
