About the Role
We are working with a leading international law firm to hire a Compliance Officer on a remote basis.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in the firm’s risk and compliance function, supporting complex AML, sanctions, conflicts and compliance matters, and advising on best practice across the business. The firm is looking for a compliance professional with experience in a law firm or professional services environment, ideally with strong exposure to AML, conflicts and client matter opening processes.
The responsibilities in this role will include:
- Advising staff and partners on client matter opening procedures
- Conducting conflict searches and reviewing search results
- Reviewing new client and matter forms
- Providing training on internal policies and procedures
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Handling ad hoc compliance projects and supporting risk-led initiatives
- Identifying and escalating legal or commercial conflicts as necessary
- Contributing to continuous improvements in systems and processes
They are seeking someone with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
