About the Role
We are working with a leading international law firm to hire a Conflicts Analyst on an 18-month fixed-term contract, based in Leeds. This is a hybrid role with core hours of 11am to 7:30pm and predominantly home working. In this position, you will play a vital role in supporting the review and onboarding of new legal matters, ensuring there are no conflicts of interest or other business acceptance risks.
The firm is seeking a detail-driven professional with ideally over a year’s experience in conflicts, although wider legal services backgrounds will also be considered.
The responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing information related to new work with legal teams
- Conducting database searches and reviewing results for potential conflicts or risks
- Analysing complex search outcomes from internal and external systems
- Highlighting and escalating potential issues to senior team members
- Undertaking targeted research using various resources
- Assisting with information barrier setup and maintenance
- Building knowledge of relevant legal, regulatory and commercial requirements
- Supporting awareness and education around conflicts processes within the firm
They are looking for candidates with excellent research and analytical abilities, strong interpersonal skills, the confidence to liaise at all levels, and exceptional attention to detail. A proactive mindset, adaptability and discretion are essential to succeed in this role.
