About the Role
Our client, an International Law Firm, is seeking a Risk Lawyer to join their Risk and Compliance team. The role supports senior management in managing regulatory, compliance and professional risks associated with the Firm.
The ideal candidate is a qualified lawyer with 5+ years of experience working in an international commercial law environment, with experience in compliance and professional practice regulation.
The responsibilities of this role will include:
- Address regulatory risk and compliance issues/queries, including conflicts and AML
- Facilitate firm-wide training on risk and compliance issues
- Assist with internal risk assessments and audits
- Address with data protection issues, such as data breaches
- Stay informed on relevant legislative changes and ensure policies/procedures are promptly updated
- Maintain systems, processes, policies and procedures
- Collaborate, advise and review client terms
You'll have strong knowledge of the SRA Code of Conduct, and likewise, some experience in providing compliance procedural training is desirable but non-essential.
This role would be perfect for an adaptive, critical thinker who thrives even under pressure. Someone with excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills would excel in this position.
