About the Role
We are working with a leading international law firm to hire a Conflicts Analyst in Birmingham. In this role, you’ll ensure the firm remains compliant with legal, professional, and regulatory obligations by managing conflict checks and supporting the wider compliance function.
The firm is looking for someone with experience in conflicts analysis or compliance within a law firm and a strong understanding of legal and commercial conflicts.
Responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing new matters and running conflict checks on clients
- Taking ownership of the whole conflict checking process
- Clearing low to medium risk conflicts where appropriate
- Liaising with lawyers, partners, and PAs to resolve queries related to conflicts
- Analysing conflict search results and identifying potential issues
- Prioritising and managing workflow according to urgency and team requirements
- Escalating potential conflicts with clear analysis
- Supporting the implementation of information barriers where necessary
- Assisting with lower complexity, high-volume workflow and managing internal inbox queries
- Flagging high-risk factors, such as sanctions
- Supporting internal projects and other duties as required by the team
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. You should be proactive, professional, and capable of delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
