About the Role
We are working with a leading US law firm to hire a Data Protection Analyst in London. In this role, you’ll support the risk and compliance function with a particular focus on data privacy, collaborating closely with colleagues across the business including legal, IT security, and compliance teams.
The firm is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual with experience in data privacy or regulatory compliance, ideally within a law firm environment. You will have at least one to two years of relevant experience and a strong interest in developing your expertise in data protection across a global context.
The responsibilities will include:
- Supporting data privacy projects and maintaining relevant frameworks
- Coordinating privacy and security workstreams using project management tools
- Managing data subject rights requests, including document review
- Reviewing client and supplier contracts for data protection compliance
- Maintaining records of processing activities across jurisdictions
- Conducting assessments on new technologies and processes
- Handling file transfers and data-related queries
- Monitoring regulatory developments and supporting implementation
- Contributing to wider compliance projects and regulatory alignment
- Assisting with policy drafting and metric development
- Responding to compliance-related queries
They are looking for candidates with excellent communication skills, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion. A high level of accuracy and confidence working with data and technology tools is essential.
