About the Role
We are working with a forward-thinking and entrepreneurial law firm to hire a Regulatory Analyst in London. In this role, you will hold a dynamic position that bridges the gap between regulatory analysis and operational client onboarding, working closely with senior leadership to uphold the highest standards of risk management.
The firm is looking for an intellectually curious professional with a strong academic background in law or a similar rigorous discipline, alongside practical experience managing compliance queries within a professional services environment. They are looking for candidates with exceptional analytical skills and the ability to simplify complex regulatory concepts for diverse audiences. You should be a proactive individual with a pragmatic mindset who can balance strict legal requirements with the firm’s commercial objectives.
The responsibilities will include:
- Researching the shifting regulatory landscape to provide clear and actionable guidance to the wider firm.
- Assisting in the creation and refinement of internal policies and procedures to ensure they remain robust and risk-based.
- Performing thorough CDD and identifying where enhanced measures are necessary for high-risk matters.
- Serving as a technical point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding AML and regulatory requirements.
- Supporting firm-wide training initiatives and briefings to increase compliance awareness across all departments.
- Managing a variety of risk projects, including internal reviews, horizon scanning, and responding to data subject access requests.
- Collaborating with partners and legal teams to ensure the efficient and compliant inception of new business.
- Providing essential administrative and operational support to ensure the effective day-to-day functioning of the department.
