Emma Edwards
About the Role
We’re working with a well-respected national law firm to hire a Risk Assistant to join their Bristol office.
In this role, you’ll be supporting the firm’s Risk team with a range of compliance and client inception processes. You’ll help ensure new clients and matters are opened in line with regulatory requirements, carry out searches, manage data in Lawman, and assist with anti-money laundering record keeping and client due diligence. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build or develop their career in legal risk and compliance within a supportive and collaborative environment.
You do not need to have previous experience to apply for this role, but if you have some previous experience in a compliance, risk or administrative role within a law firm, or a basic understanding of AML legislation and the SRA Codes of Conduct, that would be a bonus.
The responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the client and matter inception process, including carrying out searches and onboarding new clients
- Managing and maintaining accurate client and matter data in Lawman
- Assisting with AML documentation, CDD monitoring and conflict checks
- Helping legal teams with compliance queries and identifying gaps in documentation
- Supporting the wider team with reporting, data cleansing, and ad hoc administrative tasks
They’re looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and strong communication abilities, who enjoys working as part of a team and is proactive in solving problems.
If you’re looking for a varied, hands-on role where you can develop your knowledge of risk and compliance in a leading firm, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today to find out more.
