About the Role

We are working with a leading national law firm in London to hire a Senior AML  & Conflicts Analyst. In this role, you will take a central role in managing conflicts of interest and ensuring the firm’s compliance with AML regulations. You will lead complex conflict searches, oversee client onboarding risk assessments, and provide expert guidance and training to partners and fee earners across the firm. 

The firm is looking for a professional with 3+ years’ experience in a similar role within a commercial law firm or another regulated professional services environment. Candidates should have extensive experience handling conflicts and confidential information, as well as a strong background in AML and CDD processes.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting detailed conflict of interest searches, analysing findings, and escalating complex cases when required
  • Liaising with partners and fee earners to resolve conflicts and onboarding queries
  • Implementing and managing information barriers and responding to day-to-day conflicts and client onboarding questions
  • Performing customer due diligence for new and existing clients
  • Preparing and reviewing client and matter risk assessments and risk scoring
  • Monitoring client activity and addressing high-risk queries
  • Supporting partner and fee earner training initiatives
  • Keeping up to date with anti-money laundering regulations, internal procedures, and best practices
  • Managing AML information within the firm’s systems
  • Conducting research including sanctions, politically exposed persons, and adverse media checks to assess client risk
  • Assisting with file audits as needed
