About the Role

We are working with a leading UK-based business services firm with accountancy and legal arms to hire an experienced AML Manager based in London on a 6-month fixed term contract. In this role, you’ll lead the development and day-to-day operations of a newly established client onboarding function, taking responsibility for the firm’s AML processes and policies. You will report directly to the MLRO and work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure robust, compliant, and efficient client due diligence procedures. The firm is looking for a candidate with extensive experience in a similar AML role within a legal or accounting environment, ideally with a strong track record of managing teams and navigating complex onboarding scenarios.

The responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and growing the client onboarding team
  • Overseeing the AML onboarding process for all new clients
  • Reviewing and conducting client due diligence checks and documentation
  • Managing electronic ID checks and investigating system referrals
  • Supporting internal stakeholders with onboarding queries and guidance
  • Delivering and facilitating AML training across the firm
  • Ensuring ongoing monitoring of clients including PEPs and sanctions checks
  • Conducting internal audits and ensuring compliance with PSC reporting requirements
  • Staying current with AML legislation and maintaining firm-wide policies and procedures
